FITNESS

To functionally train throughout the Motherhood Transition in all planes of motion to develop competencies and physical skills as well as enhance the main metabolic pathways.

NUTRITION

To create a relationship with food that is rich in color and nutrients from a wide variety of animals, fish, plants, fruits, fats, and starchy tubers, while nourishing the body through the different rhythms of life and the female cycle.

MINDSET

To create space between a stimulus and a response, to embrace a growth perspective, and create action around values in order to make decisions from a place of love rather than fear.

CONNECTION

To open pathways from the cellular to the metaphysical level wherein a human can experience and express optimal health in body, mind, and soul.

Pregnancy and childbirth can be the biggest physical, emotional and spiritual change a woman can go through in her life. I believe each women has the strength to birth life into this world. Motherhood is a beautiful, yet challenging and sometimes overwhelming journey.  As a BIRTHFIT Coach, it is my goal is to assist you through this journey and make it the smoothest, most enlightening journey of all time. 

By applying the Four Pillars of BIRTHFIT (Fitness, Nutrition, Mindset and Connection) to your pregnancy and/or postpartum period, I believe you will set yourself up for the most optimal delivery and/or postpartum recovery period. 

How do I plan to implement these pillars into my program?

Fitness

Delivering a baby could be compared to an Olympic event when thinking about the amount of physical demand on the body. As pregnant momma's, we don't often prepare for delivery like olympians prepare for the Olympics. Most of us don't know where to start, or whats safe and not safe during pregnancy or postpartum. 

In this fitness program, the workouts will be custom fit to you and where you are in your transition to motherhood. By working through BIRTHFIT'S   functional progressions.... You will be instructed through many different movements in order to challenge the system to create overall balance. There will be an focus on strengthening the posterior chain due to the forward pull of momma's belly and caring for baby after delivery. I will work with you on how to properly engage your core and pelvic floor to promote healing of the abdomen postpartum by using BIRTHFIT'S functional progressions. This program will build your strength, as well as your confidence. We will be focusing on preparing for delivery as well and learning how to recover during postpartum.
